Conflict minerals refer to minerals such as tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold mined in countries where conflicts are occurring, such as the Democratic Republic of Congo or its neighboring countries.
Money generated by conflict minerals has been funneled into armed forces in the country, killing its own people, as well as damaging human rights such as exploitation of child labor and abuse of women in the mining process.
Pixelplus Co., LTD agrees with the international law and the customer’s policies to prohibit the use of tantalum, tin, tungsten, gold and cobalt produced in the concerned areas in order to prevent the international conflicts and the human rights violation of their citizens in Congo and neighboring conflict areas, and prohibits the use of non-certified conflict minerals as mentioned above.
Pixelplus Co., LTD will endeavor to expand the clear intention and the concerned policies to the relevant cooperative firms, and fulfill our social responsibilities in global efforts to protect human rights in the Democratic Republic of Congo and neighboring countries.
